Privacy Policy

We keep it minimal. When you use shiori.shop and FXstudio we collect:

• Account data — your email address and a hashed password (we never store the password itself).
• Billing data — handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Card numbers never touch our servers; we keep only your plan, subscription status, and Stripe customer reference.
• Licensing data — the devices on which you activate FXstudio, so we can enforce plan limits and let you deactivate machines from your dashboard.

We don’t collect the contents of your After Effects projects, and we don’t run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To process payments and manage your subscription or licence.
• To send transactional email — receipts, password resets, and important notices about your licence. We don’t send marketing email without your consent.
• To provide support when you contact us.

We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that run Shiori:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel & Neon — hosting and database infrastructure.

Each processes data only as needed to provide their service, under their own privacy commitments. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

We use only essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference for your light/dark theme. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your data while your account exists, plus what tax and accounting law requires us to retain for billing records. Data is encrypted in transit, and passwords are stored hashed. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data except those required records.

You can access and update your email from your dashboard. You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing us. Shiori operates from Ontario, Canada and handles personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA); if you are in another jurisdiction, we honour the rights your local law gives you.

If we change how we handle your data in a material way, we’ll notify you by email or on the site before the change takes effect.
